Top 40 Songs Kenya: 23rd October 2019

Welcome back to the segment that reviews the top most popular songs in Kenya right now; This is the Top 40 Songs Kenya – 23rd October 2019. I’m back to doing this segment almost three weeks later. At this rate, it matters not if I’m late or not because nothing much is changing in the charts.

So, I review the top 40 songs in Kenya and give my score. If I reviewed the song in a previous article, I just give the score; you will have to go back to the older posts to see what I thought about the song. All clear? Let’s do this.

#40 Diamond Platnumz feat Fally Ipupa – Inama: 8/10

#39 Ochungulo Family – Kaa Na Mamayako: 4/10

#38 Ed Sheeran feat Khalid – Beautiful People: 9/10

#37 Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber – I Don’t Care: 6/10

#36 Burna Boy – Ye: 7.5/10

#35 Young Thug feat J Cole & Travis Scott – The London: 7/10

#34 Shawn Mendes & Camilla Cabello – Senorita: 7/10

#33 Drake feat Rick Ross – Money In The Grave: 7.8/10

#32 Rema – Corny: 7.2/10

#31 Burna Boy – Collateral Damage: 7.5/10

#30 Sauti Sol feat Bensoul, Nviiri the Storyteller, Crystal Asige & Kaskazini – Extravaganza: 9.4/10

#29 Reekado Banks – Rora: This urban Nigerian song is decent. I especially love the beats even if it sounds similar to other Nigerian songs. But that’s pretty much it. 7.5/10

#28 Burna Boy – Wetin Man Go Do: 8.8/10

#27 Summer Walker & Bryson Tiller – Playing Games: I am not the person who you should be asking when it comes to Summer Walker. Thankfully, Keshie reviewed Summer Walker’s album and can explain everything. In my opinion, the song gets a 7/10. It’s just okay for me. I’m just in an okay mood today.

#26 Burna Boy – Pull Up: 7/10

#25 Wale featuring Jeremih – On Chill: This song serves as a single from his sixth studio album; one which I hesitated to review. Anyway, the song is okay. Both artists do their job but the song just ends up being fine. 7/10

#24 Young Thug feat Gunna – Hot: 6.5/10

#23 Nviiri The Storyteller – Overdose: 8.5/10

#22 Harmonize, Burna Boy & Diamond Platnumz – Kainama: 7/10

#21 Mahalia feat Burna Boy – Simmer: 8.5/10

#20 Beyonce, SAINt JHN & Wizkid feat Blue Ivy Carter – BROWN SKIN GIRL: 8/10

#19 Dave feat Burna Boy – Location: 6/10

#18 Maroon 5 – Memories: I don’t like this song. To make matters worse, this is the third time I’m listening to this song and it gets worse with every listen. Adam sounds nauseated for whatever reason and it’s just boring to me. Sorry, I don’t like it. 6/10

#17 Chris Kaiga feat Tezzla – Zimenice: 7/10

#16 Rema – Dumebi: 6/10

#15 Burna Boy – Gbona: 9/10

#14 Summer Walker & Usher – Come Thru: This was a nice collaboration between the two artists. Their chemistry is amazing and the song is great. I think Keshie agrees with me on this one. 8/10

#13 Chris Brown feat Drake – No Guidance: 8/10

#12 Wizkid – Ghetto Love: 7/10

#11 Nviiri The Storyteller – Pombe Sigara: 8.5/10

#10 Joeboy – Beginning: 7/10

#9 Burna Boy feat Jorja Smith – Gum Body: 9.2/10

#8 Davido & Chris Brown – Blow My Mind: 7/10

#7 Burna Boy – On The Low: 8.5/10

#6 Jorja Smith feat Burna Boy – Be Honest: 9.2/10

#5 Joeboy – Baby: 6/10

#4 BigTril – Parte After Parte: The viral song that everyone has been talking about is in the top 10. I like this version than the Kenyan remix. And I still don’t get why the Gengetone artists decided to release a remix. No one asked for it. It’s a simple club song and it’s fun to listen to. 7.5/10

#3 Travis Scott – HIGHEST IN THE ROOM: This song has been out for some time and I still feel indifferent towards it. It’s just okay for me. Nothing spectacular here. I’m genuinely surprised that it is even high up in the charts. Oh well. 6/10

#2 Burna Boy – Anybody: 8/10

#1 Wizkid – Joro: 7.4/10

Long story short, Wizkid is number one, Burna Boy is still dominating the charts, and the chart itself is pretty much unchanged. Yaay. See ya next time
