On Repeat – 15th May 2019

On Repeat

Welcome back to On Repeat, the weekly segment where I talk about the songs on my playlist, both old and new, which are constantly on repeat. This week, I’ll be looking at the songs that have been stuck on my head for the past week. Most of these songs are fairly recent. I hope you like them as well.

Ciara – Thinkin Bout You

Fresh off Ciara’s new album, Beauty Marks, is Thinkin Bout You. As I mentioned in the review, I love the song because of its funkiness. The beats make me just get up and groove to non-existing dance moves. It’s a good song.

Denzel Curry – RICKY

I can’t get enough of this song. It has so much energy to it. Plus Denzel Curry has that aggressive flow that will make anything that he says believable. What’s amusing about this song is that he tells us of the important lessons his parents taught him then goes further to tell us that our parents ain’t shit. Wow. Just wow.

Kylie Minogue – Get Outta My Way

For those who don’t know, Kylie Minogue was a pop sensation last decade. She had numerous hits with my stan character loving most of them. Then I came across this song in a pop replay playlist. Friday is the day when I first listened to it. Fast forward to today, I feel like I have listened to it 1000 times. It’s that good. I miss this kind of pop music, everyone is so dark nowadays. Jeez.

Nicki Minaj – Barbie Drip (Drip Too Hard Remix)

The original version was perfect as it was but Nicki Minaj made the whole song even better. This is why I love her and somewhat hate her. She will hop on to the remix of a song and make it 10 times better but she can’t release good music herself. I just don’t get it.

Iggy Azalea feat Tyga – Kream

Damn, the beats on this goes hard. You should definitely hear this song using a good pair of headphones or a good stereo system. Also, Iggy Azalea has been making some moves as of late. I’m keeping an eye out for her.

Those are the songs on repeat this week. Until next week.
