Adam, you swine.

Oh, hey. Like the new look? I thought so. Let’s move on to the news.

Music News Roundup is a segment that looks at the latest from the world of music and keeps you updated with a touch of humor and pettiness

Adam Levine made Corey Taylor angry

So, the lead singer of Maroon 5 was interviewed the other day and was asked about the band’s genre. Mr. Adam had an interesting answer. He said that the inspiration is currently in hip hop and rock was nowhere to be seen. Okay, I’m triggered. How dare you?

Fortunately, Corey Taylor caught wind of this and he had some words for Adam. He said that Adam should go back to The Voice and I agree.Maroon 5’s songs have been so bland as of late that it’s shocking how their songs still top the charts. I mean, why? If staying relevant means that your music has to be bland, then no thank you. I’d rather be experimenting than staying safe.

New Releases

Takeoff – Casper

This is the second video he has released in two weeks which means that the album is about to be released. To be honest, I’m not really looking forward to it. If my hunch is right, Takeoff’s album will have the same problem that Quavo Huncho had, incomplete. I just hope it’s not another 19-track album.

FYI, for those who thought I hated on Quavo’s album, you missed the point. If the album was trimmed to 7 tracks, it would have been a much better album than it is now. Of course, it had to be 19 tracks to boost streaming sales. Anyway, let me wait on Takeoff’s project. Let it be good.

Nicki Minaj – Good form

This is a shocker. It seems that Nicki is still promoting her album Queen after all her singles have been average at best. To be honest,Queen hasn’t been promoted in the manner that the album title suggests. Are we seeing an end of an era? Not really. She’ll appear in many songs. Her solo push however is worrying. I hear she’s doing well with Queen Radio though. I might give it a go.

Trey Songz – 11 and 28

Remember him? He’s back with two mixtapes which are 10 tracks long each. Will this be another adaptation of hip hop to RnB or is this him going back to the good old days. There is only one way to find out. I have to listen to both of them. Yaay.

Oh yeah, Tekashi has a new album or mixtape out. I may or may not listen to it but focus on the latter because I’m not a fan. Last but not least, Ariana Grande broke YouTube’s record of most views in 24 hours. She garnered 72 million views in 24 hours. Damn.

Hey, that was a good roundup. No silly drama from our usual suspects. All is right with the world.
