Music News Roundup

It is back!

Yes. It is back bitches! Sorry about last week by the way. There are two reasons why I didn’t post music news last week: one, because it was a slow week for music and two, I was busy with CATs on Monday. I barely had time to write anything. That is in the past now, let’s get started with the news.

(For formality purposes, I’ll have to introduce this segment every time for the new comers. Just bear with me.)

Music News Roundup is a segment that looks at the latest from the world of music and keeps you updated with a touch of humor and pettiness.

Hey, I like that. I’m keeping it. Anyway, the news.

New Album Releases.

The past two weeks has seen my phone notifications blow up because of new album releases. They are so many that I have had to write down a schedule for listening to all of them. I can tell you that the blog will be having a greater emphasis on music in the next couple of weeks. Here are two albums that I will review in the near future.

  • T.I. – Dime Trap

I love T.I., I love his music and I love his personality. Even his southern accent. 😂 For those who don’t know, T.I, Jeezy and Gucci Mane are the fathers of trap music. Trap music originated from Atlanta and that’s where it will always be.

A week ago, T.I released his tenth studio album. At this point, you expect a lot of maturity from the OG like what we saw with Jay Z’s 4:44. I’m happy to report that you won’t be disappointed. Having seen the list of producers who handled the album, it was definitely going to be good. I had my first listen yesterday and I like how honest he is.

  • Quavo – Quavo Huncho

Fuck me.

Let me be honest with you guys. I don’t like Quavo. He is easily the worst of the three members of the Migos. What’s funny is how people considered him to be the Beyoncé of the group and now he has a solo album. It gets worse. It’s a 19-track album. What?

Back when I launched this blog, I decided that Culture II and Scorpion would be among the first albums to be reviewed. However, they are so long and stale that I scrapped the idea. Imagine that. I had a hard time listening to a 20+ track album by Migos, what makes you think that his is any better? Lord help me.

Otile Brown and Vera Sidika Nonsense

Ugh. I don’t want to talk about this. I certainly don’t want to talk about this.

Once upon a time, Otile and Vera decided to start dating. The public was shocked to see such a pairing since everyone knows the kind of people Vera deals with. The two were seen embracing each other in public and professed their love for each other. They even did a music video in Mauritius together. Aww.

Things, however, took an unexpected turn. At least that’s what we thought. Otile decided to break up with Vera and she claimed that she was hurt by this. Everyone now knew that Otile was a dick. Then he released a new song telling everyone that they don’t know what he is going through. He then claimed that she aborted his child. Okay, I’m calling bullshit on this one. Let’s agree that they broke up for other reasons. Having known that the two have gone their separate ways, they retraced their love in Dubai where Vera was celebrating her birthday. It seems like they were cool with each other and that once again, love prevails. The end.

The moral of the story, Ladies and Gentlemen, is who gives a fuck? Really guys? Is this the best we can do? Like I said before, there are better things to worry about than some silly nonsense like this. Global warming is real people. I repeat, GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL! Why did I even waste my time reporting this shit?

That’s it for this week. I need some painkillers. I can’t be here reporting about depressing news. Unbelievable.
